BPALogin dont work :(

Ive installed bpalogin, ftp'd the dce-server, my network cards runnin
mad, im runnin linux redhatv7.1, i installed the rpm file
bpalogin-2.0-1.i386, and everything looks like it belongs where it is.
Now when i load up bpalogin with "bpalogin start" command is loads it
all well and good, yet i cant ping anything! i grep'd the message file
in var/log for bpalogin and it came up with this shit

yadda yadda for ever :( i was just wondering if anyone knows wtf is up
with this and what i can do to remedy the situation please drop me an
email.

Likewise with Mandrake Linux 8.2 and installation from .tar.gz, all
works, fires up DHCP, gets address, can FTP to BigPong's server, can't
send traffic out.

I've emailed the author, let's see what happens.

The password here is 100% numeric. I can't see anywhere in bpalogin's
sources that it would make a difference, and it works under WinXP
(until XP destabilises and I have to `re-intall' the cable interface).
