I have a vague suspicion that I get hacked when I am doing webcam
video chats. For the video chat to work I must turn off the firewall.
Sometimes I note that the upload figures look rediulously high, so I
disconnect.

Is there anything I can do to make the firewall work with the webcam
software??? Which is the web webcam software to use?

just allow the specific ports access via your firewall
as for being hacked.. sounds more like your just
transfering shit loads of data via your chatcam app

I use webcam32, great software. I am behind a linux router/firewall and
have port 8888 left open for this purpose.
