Murali,

Hey bud.. really like your articles man. Have few questions for you
which are really bothering me for a while.

1. I am about to start cardio 4 days a week in the morning and 3 days
of weight training covering all major body parts. My question is what
to eat before and after cardio in the morning.

2. How many calories to eat in order to loose fat and gain muscle.

3. I am able to make progress in my body except my arms. I am not able
to figure out where its going wrong. I did everything possible to
make some gains, but was not able to make good amount of glass.

4. I know I am supposed to eat veggies. What veggies are good for BB?

Really thanks for the help man.

Harish,

4 days cardio and 3 days weight training plan sounds great.

For cardio - i feel that you should just do the empty stomach version.

Get up in the mornings and have few glasses of water and go for a
active walk or any cardio activity of your choice.

And if you are weight training consume a balanced meal of complex
carbs and protein before and after workouts

for example -
pre weight training meal - a cup of oats and few egg whites
post weight training meal - a cup of whey protein shake and a small
apple

As a first step eliminate all junk food from your diet and keep
carbohydrates in your dinner to minimum and that should do the trick.
if you feel that your progress has come to a stop then drop carbs by 5
% in your total consumption and proceed.

Arns - Have one goal at a time. Cos when you are trying to lose fat -
retaining the muscles is a big deal.
When gaining muscle controlling fat levels is a big deal.
Sop first attain your fat lose goal and then we can work towards arms
betterment

Murali,

Thank you for the quick response.

I have been weight training for a while ( more than an year) and very
committed to it.

My diet generally looks like this.

BreakFast (around 8 a.m)

1/2 Cup Old Fashion Oats with raisins.
1 Cup Egg whites.

Lunch(around 11)
1/4 cup brown rice
1 Filet Tilapia/Salmon (generally about 30g of protein)

Snack
1/4 cup brown rice
1 chicken breast
handfull of almonds

preworkout
Protein shake
Apple

Postworkout
Protein shake
Banana

Dinner
1/2 cup Liquid egg whites
Mushrooms,Spinach
Fat free cheese.

BedTime Snack
Pineapple and Cottage cheese (1 cup)

So my goal is to

1. Maintain mass or may be gain a little bit of it and loose fat. Is
this possible by doing cardio in the morning and weight training in
the evening for 4 days a week.

2. And if it is possible please see my diet above and make some
suggestions to achieve my goals.

Really hands down to your work,

Harish

your diet seems very planned and good to my eyes bro. However i would
like to switch your pineapple before bed with some green veggies for
more hormonal response. But if you like the way it is then its
absolutely fine for me..

your diet is ideal to maintain or decrease fat levels. so if you wish
to add more size in arms i would recommend you to increase the
portions of protein alone in each of your meal without changing
protein options and continue to grow without adding on fat

all the best
