Hi Biglee!
I am a M.E student in Anna Univ Chennai.. I used to do gymming during
my bachelors and had a break for a year or 2.. now I have joined a gym
in adayar and have been going there for 3 weeks. the instructor put me
on a strict low carb, no fat and high protein diet.. he told me to do
so to decrease my body fat. I had 15% body fat at the time of joining
and weighed 71.6kg then. My height is 167cm. Now after 3 weeks I lost
4kgs and my weight is 67.7kg. I feel good about the body fat I have
lost but I fear that I have lost my muscle amount too! my hands are
really thin now compared to 15 inches biceps(when pumped) I had
before.. Is there any way to gain muscles but lean muscles and one
more question I take ON 100% gold standard whey protein 1 scoop after
workout and half a scoup early morning before breakfast but a 2 lbs
tub costs Rs.1800 and is not going to last 20 days. Since I am still a
student I cant afford to spend so much. Is there anything cheaper and
as good? What about Stamin whey protein?

Yaz,
Its common to feel small while dieting
Once you reach low fat levels and you try to put on muscle you will
feel big.
And regarding whey protien - you can substitute them with boiled egg
whites too...
Stamin is one of the reliable sources of protein in india. I recommend
PRO 3 of stamin.. cos its much cheaper for you and has good protein
efficiency too
cheers

I will buy Stamin Pro3 when my ON tube is over:)
Thanks again

Hi again!
I called up Stamin Nutraceuticals and they say that Pro3 is for weight
gaining as it has carbohydrates and you must take Super Whey for lean
muscles! I am confused now as I want to lose all my body fat, get 6
pack abs and gain lean muscles.
I have an enquiry regarding creatine.. I am feeling very tired because
of my diet and workouts.. I train 6 times a week. I do cardio and abs
one day and weight training the next day. Do I need to include
creatine in my diet?
Please tell me if there is anything missing in my diet..
my diet is-
Early morning- 1 glass warm water with half tsp honey and half tsp
lemon
morning- I might do crunches or a few pushups and drink 1/2 scoop whey
with water
Breakfast- 1 cup of oats with 2 boiled egg whites
after one hour- 1 orange
lunch- 2 chapathi, boiled vegetables and 1 boiled egg white
evening- 1 cup of sprouts
before workout- 2 boiled egg whites
after workout- 1 scoop whey with water
dinner- 1 apple and 1 boiled egg white
Thanks in advance!

Yaz,
I would be more happy if you post your queries in my discussion forum
(link given on top of the blog) (http://groups.google.com/group/biglee-
murali?pli=1)
PR) 3 has 10g of carbs and 80g of protein .
The company point of view - whey is costly and they earn more profit..
So do not worry and go for PRO 3. I use pro 3 upto 10 days prior to
contest.
creatine is a good addition but i recommend that you first get
familiarized with proper nutrition and then go for additional supps.
Aim correct: for gaining muscle you need more calories than what you
want and to lose fat you must eat less calories than what you want.
Pro bodybuilders can do both at the same time but it is better you
concentrate on one thing at a time.
I can not comment much on your diet as i do not know your height,
weight, measurments etc
For comments about the blog post, post it here. For specific queries
post it in forum so that everyone who has subscribed can get the
benefit from your question.
Thanks a ton Yaz...
Cheers
Also add some healthy nuts and seasonal fruits in your diet in order
to keep a good vitamin balance in this hot climate...

will surely add nuts n fruits to my diet... btw my height is 167cm and
weight is 67kg..
Right now you are around the ideal weight category.
So just keep high carb meals around your workout and minimize the
carbs in other parts of the day.
This way you can give some extra calories and utilize them perfectly
