Hello,

What would be the best way to use one ssh connection to submit jobs using BigJob in succession for a prolonged period of time?

Thanks,
Vishal

Hi Vishal,

I think running your script either within screen[1] or tmux[2] would help you there.

Best,
Ole

Hey Ole,

I am currently using screen. I meant in terms of BigJob, at what point is the ssh connection made to the machine? Also, how can I make sure that the ssh connection stays alive?

Mark, how effective is Red Bull :P?

Thanks,
Vishal

Hi Vishal,
The SSH connection management is done on SAGA-Python level. Not sure
how it precisely works there, but I think a connection is open when
the job is started and then maintained but maybe someone else can
speak to that.

Best,
Andre
