Hi  BIRGers,   On February 11 we discussed The Social Animal:  The Hidden Sources of Love, Character, and Achievment  by David Brooks,  Nine energetic members made for lively discussion.  Some of us celebrated Chinene New Year at nearby Liu's.   We decided that we have crossed the Bridge from BIRG Version 1 to BIRG Version 2 and we will be changing our name back to Big Ideas Reading Group this coming May. . March 10--The War of Worldviews--Science vs Spirituality      Leonard Mlodinow with Deepak Chopra Two bestselling authors first met in a televised Caltech debate on “the future of God,” one an articulate advocate for spirituality, the other a prominent physicist.  This remarkable book is the product of that serendipitous encounter and the contentious—but respectful—clash of worldviews that grew along with their friendship.   April 14-The Clock of the Long Now.   If you are interested in a copy of The Clock of the Long Now at our next meeting, I can have copies available at $12.90.  Let me know.   Happy President's Day Chris Boyd
