I would like to look into this as it sounds really good event but I will likely struggle to make the evening and so wanted to share out to this group to see if anyone else can make it.

Sorry I missed the first mail Fraser - I was travelling when it came through.

Thanks
Chris

Good afternoon Chris, I just wanted to please follow up on the below email.

Are you please able to come along to the meeting at Herne Hill Velodrome at 7.30pm on Tuesday 28th November.

If you aren’t able to make it along, would another representative of the club like to come along?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Fraser

Hi Christopher,

Next year we are launching a fantastic new cycling event at Herne Hill Velodrome with the full support of the trustees and Peter Cattermole has suggested we contact you about the racing programme - and especially how you and your Club friends at Bigfoot CC can be part of the racing.

As such we would like to invite you to a meeting at Herne Hill Velodrome at 7.30pm on Tuesday 28th November.

Our incredible festival will be hosted at the site on 14th, 15th and 16th June 2018 and is the next step forward for the site following on from the works and renovations that have been completed over the last few years. The event is really important to the velodrome as it will generate a very significant income that helps ensure its continued improvement and long term sustainability.

Music, exhibitions and retail will accompany the serious, competitive racing. The full programme of racing will include 5 Japanese Keirin Races each day, Tandem Racing, Derny Racing, Stayer Racing and Brompton Bike Racing among others. There will be both men’s and women’s racing throughout the festival. Whilst we already have some great names lined up to race (including Ed Clancy, David Millar and Graeme Obree) we will be announcing more in the next few months as people’s calendars are confirmed.

We have now officially launched the event and updated our website  – please see the attached press release for a little more information on the event.

We want to engage the clubs that regularly use Herne Hill to get them involved in a good proportion of the racing, hence us getting in touch.

Please RSVP to me as to whether you or a club colleague can attend the meeting on the 28th to hear more about the racing programme and how your club could be involved.

If you have any questions or require any further information please don’t hesitate to let me know.

John, Fraser, James, Sam and Olly look forward to meeting you all soon and getting you involved.
