UP Singapore: Urban Innovation + Big Data + S$250K

If you’re reading this email, you’re exactly the kind of person we’re looking for to help reinvent Singapore.
I’d like to introduce you to UP Singapore, a two month long experiment in urban innovation. It’s a series a series of hackathons, unconferences, exhibitions, and other events where the best citizen-generated ideas for transforming Singapore will be funded up to S$250,000. Besides funding, we’re also collecting big datasets from at least a dozen agencies and MNCs, including SingTel, MOH Holdings, LTA, and SMRT. Imagine what you could do with that data over a weekend with a carefully selected team of developers, designers, social entrepreneurs, and government folks?
If you want to get involved, we’d very much like you to attend one (or two or three!) of the hackathons. Registration will be up soon.
