Description

Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C, a
member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for a
IT Lead in Translational Informatics, based in Spring House,
Pennsylvania or Beerse, Belgium.

Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development, L.L.C.
develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people
worldwide. Research and development areas encompass novel targets in
neurologic disorders, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious disease,
diabetes, hematology, metabolic disorders, immunologic disorders, and
reproductive medicine.

The successful candidate will be a versatile technologist who provides
support for innovative informatics research through the algorithm
implementation and optimization in a high performance computing
environment using parallel and distributed technologies. He/she will
work with informatics groups to optimize the use of analytic
algorithms and tools for translational medicine within the company.
He/she is expected to provide support for scientists utilizing a
variety of technologies including cloud, high performance computing,
statistical data analysis, distributed computing. Experience with map/
reduce, Hadoop-style computing frameworks would be valuable.
Qualifications

An Undergraduate degree is required; Information Systems or related
field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated advancement
in Information Management or related business area is required.
Experience in drug discovery and development processes and informatics
is required. Candidate must possess strong communication and
relationship building skills. Working knowledge of the following: GxP
requirements, Computer Systems Validation (CSV), 21 CFR Part 11,
Oracle, SQL Plus, and open source platforms is preferred.
Additionally, experience in agile software development methodologies
is preferred.
