Hi guys,

Does anyone know if it is possible to migrate back an existing 3-nodes cluster of BigCouchDB (v0.4) into the latest CouchDB?

Thanks,

      David

You could always replicate? I suppose

Thanks,

I'd definitely go the replication route on that one. It'd
theoretically be possible to take down the existing cluster and bring
a new CouchDB cluster up on top but that has not at all been tested
AFAIK.

I tried to replicate between the Bigcouch cluster and a fresh CouchDB instance. Did not work. It was stuck at startup. Any idea why?

Not without logs. Which side did you have mediating the replication?
Might try the other side if you didn't try both.

This is certainly a very interesting topic. Please consider keeping records of your migration experience and may be make a blog post of documentation entry.
