_users database design documents "missing"

Hi,

I'm trying to create a design document in the _users database, and it reports as created fine (on the correct port! 5986); however, when you try the view it reports as missing, not found.

{"error":"not_found","reason":"missing"}

This works fine in plain old vanilla couchdb at the same version. Just wondering if anyone's encountered this or knows a workaround.
