start a meeting and all users to be muted when they 're first joined

Hi!

Is it possible to create a meeting and all the users at their entrance to be automatically muted?

A setting through API maybe?

Hi Giannis,

Not at the moment, but you can come close.  If as moderator you enable 'Mute All', then it will mute all current users (who are not locked) *and* all users who subsequently join.

That way, once the session starts, you won't be disturbed by noise created by latecomers.  If a viewer is causing noise (unmutes their microphone) and won't mute themselves again, as moderator you can lock their audio (click the lock icon) and mute them.  Thereafter they will remain muted.

Hi!

I'd like to create a demo meeting (like the one in the BBB API) for the users to test the BBB environment,but I'd like when they login to be mutted.

So, it isn't possible yet? Couldn't it be coded?

It's certainly possible to add, but there are lots of items already in works for BigBlueButton 0.81 (the current version).  See

You can edit the freeswitch dialplan configuration, and add
+flags{mute} to wideband like wideband+flags{mute} in the conference
statement, then reloadxml in fscli so it will take effect.

than every audio joins muted by default, i have test this in .8 and
it works fine.

But its a server wide config and every meeting is effected.
