OBS Virual camera with BBB

Hi, thank for your welcome.

I would like to orient the OBS studio output as a BBB screen

I have been told one way is to use Virtual camera OBS feature with BBB.

But BBB does not recognize my Virtual camera from OBS.

I am on Linux and I use Firefox.

Hi Jose,

The virtual camera is used by the webcam only but you can use a feature of obs to share your screen.
On youtube are some general tutorials about this.

Another option I use is to connect a HAUPPAUGE HD PVR Pro 60 by USB-C and HDMI-IN

This creates at the same time a webcam and a second monitor screen. Everything I move to that screen gets streamed by the webcam.
I do use in BBB then the option to share a second cam together with my webcam

The Hauppauge enables me also to record my talk. After converting it to mp4 by ffmpeg I could share it or also use it by a next/own cloud service 
linked as video url to BBB

I use OBS virtual camera with BBB but with Chrome/Brave on Windows 10. 

Try opening OBS and getting everything setup first before opening FireFox. In OBS did you go to Tools -> VirtualCam and then click Start? 

Once everything is running with OBS, then open Firefox to get to your BBB session. When choosing a video option in BBB choose OBS-Camera.

The above solution with OBS also works on the Mac.
