How to protect BBB recordings?

Hello,

I integrated BBB into Moodle and I noticed that BBB recordings are accessible to everyone. How can I protect these recordings and make them accessible only to users enrolled in the course?

Hello,

When using the default BBB server, a padlock icone appears in front of the recordings (See the screenshot in the attached file) allowing the teacher to enable/disable public access to the recordings, but with our own BBB server, this padlock does not appear (See the screenshot in the attached file). Can you please help me resolve this issue?

This lock capability for recordings is not available in BigBlueButton open source.

This lock feature (protected recordings) is a value-added capability provided by Blindside Networks, the creators of maintainers of BigBlueButton, in its hosted version of BigBlueButton.

Thank you for your reply. I'd like to know if there's a way to work around this problem using the open-source version?
Otherwise, what's the benefit of setting up our own BBB server if we can't protect our recordings from public access?
