Hi all,

Last week I installed BigBlueButton 0.9.0 and I can access it successfully from Internet Explorer but not from Firefox or Chrome on a Windows 7 system. When I try OpenSuse 13.1, I log in successfully from Firefox but not from Chrome.

In all cases, the problem is the same: the default layout is correctly loaded and it shows the dialog entitled "How do you want to join the audio?". Though, after having clicked the "Microphone" button, the "Audio test" dialog does not appear and I can not hear nor use the microphone.

Does anyone have the same problem?

Cheers,
Francisco Grimaldo

Hi Francisco,

Can you test against

It's running the latest build of 0.9.0-beta. Let us know if you can connect via that audio.

Regards,... Fred

Hi Fred,

Many thanks for your quick answer and I am sorry for the delay but I was waiting to have my server working to write you back.

Your demo site worked perfectly so I install the system updates (including some packages from bigbluebutton), then, I rerun:

  bbb-conf --enablewebrtc
  bbb-conf --clean

and now I can connect without any problem either from Firefox or Chrome on both Windows 7 and OpenSuse 13.1.

Best regards,
Francisco Grimaldo

Fred,
I am facing  a different issue with firefox. I could able to share the mic with chrome perfectly. But, I am not able to share the mic from firefox. I am on bigbluebutton - 1.1 and latest versions of firefox(version - 52) and flash(version - 25). I could able to reproduce the same on bigbluebutton demo server(I have attached the image). The window "Firefox Microphone Permissions" doesn't disappear after the selection of mic. This is across all the machines, I could able to reproduce on Windows7, windows-10, and Windows Server 2012-R2. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks & Regards
Venkanna

It would have been better to open a new topic for this as the original messages are from 2014.

Could you open the browser console (F12) and copy and paste it to pastebin and then link it back here. I'm curious about where it is getting stuck.
