I wonder if it is possible to have BBB stream presentations to sites that allow live streaming like justin.tv, livestream.com, twitch.tv etc

Most of these sites use an XML file loaded into Flash Media Encoder to push the data to their servers. The only workaround I can think of currently is having a user screencast their own view to a streaming service.

Could BBB potentially have this feature, or can it be done now?

Thank you for any info regarding this question.

Hi,

I also thought about it a while ago. I don't know how it could be done from within BBB because I don't really know how these streaming services work.
But in BBB all components are somehow independent: there's a stream for each video, the voice goes to a sip server, the presentation is also in another data stream and so on. You would need to "compose" it all somehow before sending to the streaming service.

One thing that can be done now is to capture and transmit your entire screen when you have a BBB client open. You just need an application that can do that. A lot of streamers are using xsplit (http://www.xsplit.com/).
It can be a nice solution to stream a BBB session (for webinars maybe?).
