I have two headsets on my linux ubuntu 11.10. desktop with browsers
Firefox from ubuntu 8.0; Chrome 15.0
One headset is an old Logitech wired and one is a brandnew Asus
wireless. Both are positively working and tested for ex. in skype.
Yesterday we had a BBB meeting in our Tiki community, which uses a
brandnew BBB version (3881 from 2012-01-16).
Problem was, that I and a few others could not speak, cause microphones
have not been recognised in the BBB room.
For most of the others the microphones worked fine and audio quality was
between acceptable and excellent, depending who was speaking.
BTW for the devs: the quality was so much improved compared to former
times - great job guys! Thx and congrats; you are definitely on the
right way.
I did try the flash settings and I did try with a different browser, but
I could not get my microphone "connect" to the BB room.
With the Asus wireless mic I even could switch the device in the
Flashplayer dialogue - but still no microphone working in BBB.
Does anyone has an idea, what could be the reason and if and what I can
do as user?
Thx
Torsten
