Question....

Just setup Ubuntu 10.04 desktop, and flash is occasionally crashing
in client when using BBB.

have firefox 3.6.16 -1.0 Canonical and flash 10,2,153,1

Has anyone experienced the crashing? Any recommended versions i
should be using?

Not having used Ubuntu deskop before, i assume i can apt-get to get
the latest veriosn.

Any advice appreciated.

thanks

You have installed the BBB in Ubuntu Desktop Version?

No.... BBB is on another server, i have a 10.04 Desktop system being
used as a client for BBB... flash seems to randomly crash in firefox
under load.

Try Chrome, it comes with a built-in player.
Or try installing the "APT for Ubuntu 9.04+" player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

I use both on Ubuntu 10.10 and everything works fine (also worked on Ubuntu 10.04).

Suggest you use Ubuntu Server 10.04, instead of the desktop
distribution. If you must use the desktop, download the BBB virtual
appliance and run it under VMWare Workstation.

I'd also like to report that we conducted a very large web conference
last week (over 150 connections) using BBB running under Ubuntu Server
10.10 (64-bit) installed on an HP-Compaq Elite 8000 desktop with only
4Gb of RAM.
