I've just installed bbb.08 on my ubuntu 10.04 desktop for testing before use. I am really a beginner to such Platforms. I have also no idea how to administer bbb.
After searching for infos and tutorials online i came across to a module drupal 6 to integrate it into my bbb for administration purpose. I hope that i installed it as it is described on "http://www.subcritical.org/install_bbb/"
My Problem is: I have no access to drupal admin i.e. Administration -> Site Building -> Modules or i do not know how to come there or how to launch drupal.
secondly; I have only the bbb demo site access when i use "localhost" or ip:192.168.0.13.
thirdly: with the address "http://192.168.0.13/bigbluebutton/api" i get the following:
This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
<response><returncode>SUCCESS</returncode><version>0.8</version></response>
thank you for your help.

Tedbir:

You will want to look at the following Drupal module for BBB:

https://drupal.org/project/bbb

You will also want to use the "development release" versions as well for Drupal v6 or Drupal v7.  You will also need to patch the Drupal v7 module some as well as noted in the project's support forums.  You will need administrator access to the Drupal site via the web and command line to install and configure the module to work with your BBB installation as well.  Since you installed Drupal via the Ubuntu package repositories, I suspect there is some documentation on what the site default password is for the administrator user out there.  I am guessing you already have command line access from your posting to the Drupal server though.

The guide you are following for reference is an example of installing Drupal and BBB on the same system.  However, in respects to Drupal and Ubuntu 10.04, you are using an "older" (and indeed "dated") version of Drupal limited by the Ubuntu package repositories.  From the information given as well, you will be installing it on a private network (e.g., 192.168.0.x as noted above) so access from the internet will be limited in most cases and scenarios.  However, access from other systems on the same network should be possible.  If you have a separate web server for Drupal, it might be best to separate this out a bit unless you are familiar with Drupal on a LEMP (Linux, nginx, MySQL, PHP) server since BBB does use nginx.

As for the API return call, that is a correct response that the web browser is able to access your BBB server's BBB API.  What I suspect you are desiring more so is some "control" and "management".  The BBB demo packages (install via the command line) will assist with that to some degree, though do review the Group postings about using such on a server that is available to the "general public via the internet". ;-)  The Drupal module is another means along with the Moodle and Joomla modules for such purposes.

HTH (hope that helps) some.

Thank you very much indeed.
I can understand what you meant but do not know how to do it.
Firstly can i use only the dropal module for bbb or must i first install drupal and then add drupal module for bbb from https://drupal.org/project/bbb?
For your information i tried both.
secondly I really don't know how to get the "administrator access to the Drupal site via the web and command line to install and configure the module to work with ... BBB installation".
Today is my 5th day working on this issue without success.
Can you please direct me with the needed steps needed to install drupal module for bbb and to bring it run on obuntu 10.0.4 desktop machine?
I think i saw something like default password for the administrator user. I can search it again. The problem is how and where to find the login page for drupal.
thnak you in advance.

with "http://192.168.0.13:81/" address appears BigBlueButton demo site
with this address "http://192.168.0.13:81/bigbluebutton" appears BigBlueButton login site.
But with "NOTE: We are deprecating this web interface in favor of the API. This will be removed in the next release."

But it is not possible to login with the given username and password.
"192.168.0.13:81/drupal/install.php" shows the "404 Not Found" nginx/0.7.65 Message.

Drupal6 is already installed
Any idea?

Thank you

Tedbir:

To install a module within Drupal, refer to the following:

https://drupal.org/documentation/install/modules-themes

Yes, you will need administrator access to your Drupal web site via a web browser as well as on the server itself.  Since you used the Ubuntu 10.04 package of Drupal, I cannot assist you with what that information may or may not be.  I would suggest installing Drupal from scratch work case and not via the Ubuntu package management system.  You can find documentation on how to install Drupal at the following:

https://drupal.org/documentation/install/beginners

Tedbir:

The 404 error is due to nginx does not understand the path given.  Have you checked your nginx configuration in particular the "sites-available" and "sites-enabled" directories specific to Drupal under nginx?  Have you also configured Drupal to work under nginx via fast-cgi or similar?
