Hi Hasan,

Not in the current version 0.71a, nor in the upcoming 0.8. However,
this request is very similar to synchronized video playback

http://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/issues/detail?id=218

which we plan to implement in a future iteration.

Regards,... Fred

Hi Hasan,

a nice low tech solution i found is to use a portable dvd player. You
can plug it in where the microphone jacks go and play music, or a
prerecorded presentation. We made a test for Listening Comprehension
in English and it worked like a charm!
I didnt use the laptop's dvd player(hmmm... it just occured now to me
and i am wondering why i didn't). Maybe it works with the pc's dvd
player. Haven't tried it though.

Hasan, if you have a wav or mp3 file and are using freeswitch...
you can play these audio files in the audio conference with 1 line api
call if you know the conference id. you can actually telnet to esl
port, authenticate and issue the command direct. The audio files need
to be already on the BBB server for this to work.

I believe you also can hook shoutcast to conference and have winamp
player start and stop audio to the room, i have seccessfully streamed
out audio shoutcast, but not tried inbound yet so not 100% on how to
do this.

Stephen

try  virtual audio cable , you can play a sound into a virtual microphone,  then you can play it in BBB.

Hi Tran,

I think you are asking how an instructor can play a sound for other students?

We don't have that capability in BigBlueButton (yet!).  There is an open enhancement request for it
