Can I run BBB on this VPS spec?

Hi everyone,

I'm considering using a VPS with the following specs for a BigBlueButton server:

• 4 vCPU

• 8 GB RAM

• 75 GB NVMe

• 200 Mbit/s port

I know the official minimum for production is higher (8 CPU / 16 GB RAM), but I'm wondering:

• Has anyone tried BBB on a similar spec VPS?

• Would this handle around 10–15 users with recording on and all webcams on?

The plan is for light testing / small team use, not large classes.

I have a VPS with those specifications for BBB and it works well with up to 50 users connected simultaneously; however, in my cluster, the processor is directly connected to the host.

Thanks for sharing your experience – that's really helpful to know.

Would you mind letting me know which provider you're using for that VPS? I'd love to look into the same one, especially with the processor being directly connected to the host.

My services include providing private cloud services, so we use a cluster with Proxmox VE for these services... What country are you in?

Thanks for the info. Proxmox VE sounds like a solid setup.

I'm in the UK.

Do they offer services internationally, or would you recommend any public cloud provider in the UK/EU that offers a similar "processor directly connected to the host" setup?
