Hello All!

I read through posts to figure out why I had no music while waiting for a meeting to begin and adjusted the file in freeswitch.  I even found the folder with the pre-installed yawn music and added some that gave energy.
However, the volume is really low.
How can I adjust a setting to increase the volume of the music being played?  Is this possible?  I don't want cheeks to flutter, but at least listen at a comfortable level to begin with.  I cannot find anything on how to adjust this in a config file.

Thanks for any input!

I saw a post in the freewitch forums from a person remarking how loud the music was.  The reply was to record it in Audacity at least 20db lower than max volume.  So,,,,,,,,,,
maybe it will work in reverse?  I will check when I get back tomorrow and see what the volume is, attempting to re-record and adjust levels.

If this is not the correct approach, please advise.

I have solved the problem (partially)

Using Audatcity, I grabbed a few mp3 files and converted them to wav.  Put them in the music folder and rejoined a conference.  The music plays at a very nice level.  Apparently the demo music was recorded at a very low volume.

The Freeswitch documentation states mp3's can be used without a problem, but I could not get them to play.  For what I will be using the waiting room music for, converting a few songs to wav is fine.

There is mention of streaming shoutcast through Freeswitch.  Has anyone done this within BBB?

freeswitch needs mod_shout to be able to play mp3 files. You will
need to install freeswitch manaully, and make sure that module is
compiled, and uncommented in conf first

I stream BBB audio from meetings out to icecast servers for a number
of customers.
