After install BBB

Hi

Im so sorry for my low level question

i installed  BBB on Vmware workstation on local host and now i'm deciding to get a valid ip and start the virtual class in internet with my freinds.

im new in BBB and web develope, so say to me, after the install BBB on vmware and get Valid ip what i have to do exactly

please say to me step by step

Hello,

Since you successfully installed. Then it means your VM/BBB has an IP address; to know your IP run ifconfig.
Then you can access with the IP address on your browser. (I hope you did setup the VM in bridged mode?)

When I get valid ip I have to change the virtual machine ip or windows ip?
And after that what I have to do

You don't have to change anything. Just type the address on your browser to get to bbb landing page.

Hi Hamed,

If your friends are in the same network they can access the bigbluebutton server using the ip address in the browser. If they are not in the same network, you have to configure external access for your server, with a domain https://code.google.com/p/bigbluebutton/wiki/FAQ#Can_I_provide_external_access_to_a_BigBlueButton_server_behind_m

I think you didn't get what I mean
I installed BBB from ducument's on google code than step 1 to step 5 that i think the 5 step was install BBB demo.
Ok now I just have a demo and its for test
I uninstall the BBB demo and now I want to connect it to internet like a wordpress website, not in local network
I dont know anything about API
Please help me now and please say to me step by step

Okay, now i get your point. I assume your BBB has a public IP if not start the proceed below from step 1

- Assign a public IP to your BBB either static on the BBB or through Dsnat

- Then run sudo bbb-conf --setip <your public IP>

- run sudo bbb-conf --clean

- Now confirm your bbb server is up and reachable by running command below from an external system
wget -O - --quiet http://your public IP/bigbluebutton/api

- Integrate BBB with wordpress through the url below:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/bigbluebutton/installation/

You don't need to know that, just use the wordpress plugin provide above and you should be good.

Hello Sir, i was going through your conversations on BBB and right now, i am faced with the same challange as to Taking my BBB Server from VM to the Internet through Port Forwarding in my TPLink Router.

. PLease, can you guide me..? I wish to connect my VM BBB to the Internet via my router. Similar TPLink Router. Can you guide me Please..?
