Hi

I just got my sip trunk credentials from phonera in Sweden. I want to configure BBB to handle calls from outside to the conference. I have seen some say that we have to tell freeswitch to listen on public ip is that right. This is what I think I shall start with.

Greetings
Kent

Hi Ken,

When a company pays a third-party for SIP trunking, it usually means they are using BigBlueButton for commercial use.  In other words, there is a business case to have a solid production deployment of BigBlueButton.

Hi

I also interested in this topic.

I found a configure around conference following under that.
root@HOSTNAME:/opt/freeswitch/conf/dialplan/default# cat bbb_conference.xml

you shoulde be set up around incomming call to that conference number directly.

at first, make a user account for incomming call as FreeSwitch.
it need specify the autoanswer.
and that call to be transfer to target conference number.

maybe it done.but I'm sorry for my experience is only Asterisk.

FYI: I dont know how is your NAT issue about this incomming call.ok or not.

Hi Mazakazu

I use only BBB and want to be able to call in from regular phone. I can come in but their is no connection to the conference so I thing it has to do with freeswitch listening on 127.0.0.1.

Fred

We are a non profit movement and do not use BBB in commercial environment. I know about open source and have no plan for commercial use.

Hi Kent

let me try to add user in freeswitch.

I found this one.
root@HOSTNAME:/opt/freeswitch/conf/directory/default# cat bbbuser.xml

and instruction of freeswitch's way of add user.

and instruction of freeswitch's way of auto answer.

and maybe it need call transfer or call forwarding.

Hi kent.

Freeswitch has two way of NIC as IP address specification following like this URL one.

and must need

run /opt/freeswitch/bin/fs_cli and

freeswitch@internal> reload mod_sofia

it seems simillar comand such as reloadxml is not effect about NIC.

you should be make your required extension at same position at first.
