Hello.  I have BBB 0.80 on Ubuntu 10.04.  When running the demo files (specifically creating or joining a meeting), I get this error:

An Error has occured:
Status Code 500
Exception Type null
Message null

java.lang.NullPointerException

    at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:679)

The odd thing is, this only happens the first time.  If I reload the error page using F5, the meeting proceeds as normal, and runs as normal.
If I exit the meeting and try again, the action proceeds with no error.
If I wait 10 or 15 minutes (I'm not sure what the exact interval is) I get the 500 error again.
Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Thanks for your response Gustavo,

I´d already read the link and configured BigBlueButtonURL String = "http:// <your_hostname> / BigBlueButton /"; and everything seems OK.
The odd thing is, this only happens at the first attempt. If I reload the page using F5, the meeting proceeds to normal and runs the usual.

Cheers,

Marcelo

Hello Gustavo,
Sorry for the delay
in responding, but last week I was working on another project.
As you suggested I issued the command sudo bbb-conf - clean
But the problem persists. If I press F5 works ...

Cheers,

Marcelo
