Application Blocked by Java Security

Hi all,

I followed the instructions from the official documentation to set up my BBB server on Digital Ocean. I also use Let's Encrypt to generate the SSL certificate.

BBB has been running for 6 months without any issue until yesterday. The screen share stopped working. I got the error "Java Application Blocked".


After making sure all users are running latest Mozilla Firefox and Java, I ran this command "letsencrypt --webroot -w /var/www/bigbluebutton-default/ -d bigbluebutton.example.com certonly" to generate a new certificate, reloaded nginx server, restarted BBB server and reboot Ubuntu server.

Can anybody share the way to fix this ? It will be a lot of works to ask all the presenters to add the exception url on Java settings.

Thanks so much for the prompt replied. When it is estimated to be released ? Would like to update the server at very first minute.

We've already released packages for BigBlueButton 2.0-beta.   Try updating your server and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any problems.
