I ran BBB locally, it works with an ip adress 192.xxx.x.xx, but when i
use it as an extension on Joomla, i don't really know which URL, I
have to set...? http:// 192.xxx.x.xx/bigbluebutton seems not to work,
I put the right salt, and "tried" to forward the 9123 and 1935 ports
of my internet provider box, but unless..... So give me a hand

Hi Bick,

Is your external workplace server able to connect directly to your
internal Joomla server?

The Joomla extension needs to make direct HTTP access to the
BigBlueButton server (using the BigBlueButton API) to create rooms,
end meetings, and create join URLs.

Hi Fred,

If I understand what you are saying, I have to have another Joomla
server running internaly? What I did is creating directly a joomla
website, on an external webspace, on scratch, and trying to make a
link,( it's what I thought), with what the tutorial said : " sudo bbb-
conf --setip external.host.org // add the following line to /etc/
hosts: 192.168.10.198 external.host.org// and wget -O - --quiet
http://external.host.org/bigbluebutton/api //, wondering what was
"external.host.org", and thinking it was my external joomla website
url....... ):
But the result of the wget test was a SUCCESS, at least, when I tried
to run Bigbluebutton,on the external website, it sends me
to......"elswhere"....bouh!

Regards...

Hi Fred,

Thanks for your reply, and it indicates me how I have to consider it.
I resolved the problem, the only thing is that I asked on internet
what was my IP adress (my host system, or my computer adress), it gave
me an IP adress as 92.xxx.xx.xxx.

I put this adress as the "external.host.org", put it in the etc/hosts,
sudo bbb-conf --setip 92.xxx.xx.xxx, set it in my URL server of
joomla settings.... and OK boom! It works....

Thanks for all

regards
