Hello,

I already installed the HTML5 on the server, everything is working fine on Firefox. But with Google chrome the screensharing option is not working because the

BigBlueButton Screenshare Extension is keep giving me "You must install this Chrome Extension" !!!

Many thanks for your help and support

You have to fork or clone the extension code and add your own domains to the acceptance list and then upload it to the Chrome web store. The extension repository and instructions can be found here, https://github.com/bigbluebutton/screenshare-chrome-extension.

Something that trips a lot of people up is that the extension "key" referenced in the documentation is the block of letters at the end of the extension URL. For example the key for "https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bigbluebutton-screenshare/akgoaoikmbmhcopjgakkcepdgdgkjfbc" would be "akgoaoikmbmhcopjgakkcepdgdgkjfbc".

Pretty soon (in the next couple browser releases) Chrome won't require a manual whitelist, but for now the extension is required.

As soon as Chrome 72 launches, you'll be able to do screen sharing without needing an extension.

Chrome 72 should be launching in the next week or so.

This seems to have happened!
Great news, because this extension setup is quite a nightmare.
I just received a Chrome notice that my extension will be taken down for non compliance for undecipherable reasons.
I will let them kill my masterpiece with no regrets
