I've got an instance of 0.91 BBB up and running on Amazon EC2. Everything works fine - I've integrated with Moodle, that works as well. I've tested on networks without firewalls and everything is working.

 I am having problems with webrtc at work (we have a firewall so I know that there are issues with that. I've tried opening up various ports on the server as instructed in the various posts on this issue without success so far. I am continuing to work on this issue).

The problem I'm writing about now is that I've not been able to get flash audio working. After I get the message that webrtc is not working sign in with flash instead, I try to sign in and the test screen says it is connecting, but a connection is never established. I've tested the demo server and that works fine. I tried disabling webrtc so that I could see if I could replicate the flash problem on a network without a firewall and indeed I can. The flash audio will not work on a firewall protected network nor on a non-firewall protected network. I'm confident that the problem is with my BBB server as I've logged into the demo with flash (using IE) on both a firewall protected and non-firewall protected network.

Thanks for whatever help anyone can give me!

It looks like I'm having the same issue as the one described here: https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!searchin/bigbluebutton-setup/flash/bigbluebutton-setup/WKwF4PCpadU/Yl4JLbfm4BIJ

Anyone know whether that was ever solved?

Thanks again!

Hi Fred

Thanks very much. I went through these steps when I was setting up the server, but I'll go back and check to make sure.

I'll let you know

Edward

Fred Thanks again

Went back and checked each of the steps on the EC-2 configuration page you referenced. The section that seemed to make the difference was:

/usr/share/red5/webapps/sip/WEB-INF/bigbluebutton-sip.properties

bbb.sip.app.ip=<internal ip>
bbb.sip.app.port=5070

freeswitch.ip=<internal ip>
freeswitch.port=5060

In addition I edited the following:

redis.host=127.0.0.1
redis.port=6379
redis.pass=

to:

redis.host=<internal ip>
redis.port=6379
redis.pass=

then restarted the server. That seems to have worked!

Thanks so much and thanks for all your work on this great platform!

Edward
