Hello, I would really appreciate it if anyone out there can help me out with regards to editing/removing those default parts of the conference pages in as much as I won't be violating any rules. I have attached the images and anyone who has done it before should please help me out. Am using the latest version of BBB 1.1.0

I answered in your other post already, but I'll duplicate the answer here.

To change the welcome message you should either change the welcome message in /var/lib/tomcat7/webapps/bigbluebutton/WEB-INF/classes/bigbluebutton.properties, or the welcome message supplied by whatever front-end you are using.

Hello Cad,

The link you attached didn't answer my questions. But that aside, whatever i edited on the bigbluebutton.properties doesn't reflects on the main site rul but the effects are obvious on the Demo site. Why is it like that? Any way to make the effects show on the main site url?

Regards,
    Stan

Hi Stan,

bbb-web is an application that runs under tomcat7.  The lifecycle of bbb-web is that it only reads the bigbluebutton.properties file on startup.

If you make any changes, you need to do

  sudo bbb-conf --restart

to restart BigBlueButton and have bbb-web read the properties file again.

Regards,... Fred

Hello Fred,

You don't seems to get my question. I have made the necessary changes and adjustments on the bigbluebutton.properties and done bbb-conf --restart, bbb-conf --clean too.But the issues now is that the changes i made only reflect on the demo server pages, not on the main site url and that is what is strange to me.

http://217.182.117.5/client/BigBlueButton.html?sessionToken=vdxm3gvuwk7gm09p just check out the demo meeting page, that was the changes i made on the left hand side(the welcome message just under 'public'..........But on the main site url, it is still the default messages that is there:

Welcome to ****** !

To understand how BigBlueButton works see our tutorial videos.

To join the audio bridge click the headset icon (upper-left hand corner). Please use a headset to avoid causing noise for others.

This session may be recorded.

I hope you understand me now and i look forward to your help.

Regards,

Stan

How are you creating the meeting?  The welcome message is set by the 'create' API call from the front-end.  See

for the parameter 'welcome'.
