See this discussion for more info (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/bigbluebutton-setup/e_uU6JJKdEs). The problem should be resolved in the newest packages. Are you trying to install 1.0-beta or 0.9.X?

You could try updating your package list to the newest version (sudo apt-get update) and then installing again (sudo apt-get install bigbluebutton). I'm not sure if that will be enough to get you out of a broken install though.

Hi,

>                             Memory: 989 MB

You are trying to install BigBlueButton on 1G of memory.  This will not work.

Review the prerequisites for install before trying again.

Regards,... Fred

That setup is underpowered for BigBlueButton.  For requisites for installation see

The best way to answer if it would be "OK" is to try it.  There are many factors involved -- much of which depends on the networking between your users and the BigBlueButton servers.

So, setup a server and try it with groups of users -- that will tell you everything you need to know.

Also, BigBlueButton does not require solid state drives.
