I'm not sure what changes could have caused this but my flash audio was working fine and now its not working anymore.  The only difference I see is that my Red5 Server is not starting anymore?  Here is my bbb-conf --clean

I don't think so.
I'm almost sure its something that I did I'm just not sure what.  Originally I was trying to resolve WebRTC error.  Ultimately I decided to give up on WebRTC altogether and just stick with using Flash for my audio.  Thats when I realized that my flash audio was not working anymore and the only difference was that red5 server was no longer starting. :(  Here is what I got when doing a sudo df:

Try removing the red5 pid file. Maybe it did not stop properly that's why the pid file wasn't deleted.

Or try running red5 from the command line

cd /usr/share/red
sudo -u red5 ./red5.sh

Look at the console for clues on why it doesn't start up.

I had assumed it was all working fine and just stopped on you,   I jumped on your system.  video is working thru red5 no problem.

did you do   sudo bbb-conf --disablewebrtc ?    I can see web-rtc and flash still don't connect.

Hi Oramos,

Can you do the following command

 ps -aef | grep red5

and kill any red5 process you find.  Then do

  sudo bbb-conf --restart
  sudo bbb-conf --check

and see if you get red5 running.  We improved the logic in the upcoming BigBlueButton 1.0-beta to make sure red5 is not running before starting red5.

Regards,... Fred

Hi Fred,

Yeah I went through these two documents before.  Went through them again just to make sure.  Still getting a 1007 error which is saying that: ICE negotiation failed - The browser and FreeSWITCH try to negotiate ports to use to stream the media and that negotiation failed.  Possible causes: NAT is blocking the connection and or Firewall is blocking the UDP connection/port.

Yes.  That is correct.  On a EC2 server.

Hi Oramos,

Can you double check the steps for

We're pretty certain they are correct (and I've gone through them myself).

You could also try (temporarily) opening all ports TCP/UDP on the EC2 instance to take the security groups out of the equation.

Regards,.. Fred

Oscar,

Just to clarify: at some point you say you did `bbb-conf --disablewebrtc`. Did you do `bbb-conf --enablewebrtc` after that?

Regards,
Anton

Yes that's correct.  I did make sure I enabled it again.
I'm going to go through Freds instructions and also TEMPORARILY open all ports TCP/UDP just to make sure.

I would also suggest checking the browser logs after a failure. If you search for "candidates" in the browser logs you should see two groups of candidates. The first grouping is a list of potential IP address and port pairs for the server to try and connect to your local machine. The second grouping of candidates should be the list of potential IP address and ports that the server is offering back for you to connect to. If the second grouping only contains listings with "10.168.89.10" in them your local computer will never be able to make a connection because that IP isn't a public address. After following the EC2 specific instructions you should see whatever your public IP is in the list of candidates.

Yes went through them again and no luck.  At this point this isn't important.  I'm okay with using flash for now as I'm using flash for .8 currently.  I have another issue that I will need to address soon and since I have you here I thought why not ask before I start to research this.  So I have a server running .8 and a server running .9 currently.  Is there any documentation that you can point me to on how to move all the media files from .8 to .9 from one server to another?  I'm trying to avoid updating .8 just in case something goes wrong I still have a working server.
