NGINX 502 Bad Gateway Error

Hi, When I attempt to access my Wordpress site, I keep NGINX Bad
Gateway errors. I looked in the NGINX error logs and there were no
entries, so after I performed some more research, I found out that
this could be a php-fpm issue, so I looked in the log and sure enough
when I went to my php5-fpm.log file, I saw this:

[14-May-2012 16:39:46] ERROR: unable to bind listening socket for
address '127.0.0.1:9000': Address already in use (98)
[14-May-2012 16:39:46] ERROR: FPM initialization failed

Any quick fix ideas on this one? Just standard BBB install w/ Ubuntu
10.04 and upgrade to BBB .8

Hi there,

The BigBlueButton server does not have any support for PHP.  We recommend you run BigBlueButton on a separate, dedicated server so as not to have conflicting settings between a web application and BigBlueButton (especially with nginx).  

Have you modified the BigBlueButton server to run php-fpm?  If so, we (the core developers) recommend you seek out the php-fpn resources on the web.  We haven't tried to setup PHP on a BigBlueButton server (nor do we recommend it).

Hi, One option is that you could install PHP + MySQL + Apache, but Apache running on a different port to 80, 8086 and 8080. 

So, you could run apache on port 8888 and so would not conflict with Nginx.

I have done that configuration with joomla and work ok, I assume that with wordpress would be the same.

Yes, but it was working just fine yesterday. I just attempted to
activate a theme and now I am receiving these errors. It's really
weird. Once I reboot my server, they go away, but when I try to login
again, I will begin to get the 502s again.

sounds like the php-cgi that answers on port 9000 is going out to
lunch, not sure how to debug that.

Yes I reinstalled php-fpm, tried connecting with unix sockets, and

I also checked to see if i had spawn-fcgi and i hadn't installed it on the server prior to installing PHP-FPM, so that wasn't causing issues. So I changed the port from 9000 to 9010 in the php-fpm config file located at /etc/php5/fpm/pool.d/www.conf as well as within the nginx vhost config file for the domain in question and that error went away, but now I am able to access my site initially, but when I try to access a second page from the website on this domain, I will get another 502 Bad Gateway error. Within the PHP5-FPM.log file, I am now getting the following:
