Hi,
meanwhile my BBB-server runs  according to my needs. I was playing around with the server in order to get familiar with the system. Befor going in production for my organisation, I would like to have the server as clean as possible, but would like to avoid setting it up again from the ground. So, is there a command or a trick to restore the default settings, cleaning also up the system, to gain maximum performance?

Thanks and best.

Michael

Hi Michael,

BigBlueButton comes pre-configured out-of-the box with default settings that have been optimized for performance.  If you ant to remove all existing log files, you can run

 sudo bbb-conf --clean

If you override any settings, you should do so with files in

  /etc/bigbluebutton

as the settings for each individual component will be overwritten when they upgrade.  See

Hi Fred,

thanks a lot, I cleaned up my instance with the --clean-command and everything runs well.

Thanks and best regards.
