Hi,
I have bbb 1.1 setup with https. Have tested today and different versions of windows with chrome or firefox, 2 different linux distros (one with chrome the other one with firefox) and a mac with safari all worked perfectly well. Only the one person with a IPhone could not connect. Or, let's say he reached the point where he should have seen the "share microphone" window but just got a message that the connection could not be done because flash was not present and that was it.
He tried on his IPhone to get in with firefox. Is there any way an IPhone could get into the conference? And an IPad?
I found a lot of blog articles and a lot of answers in forums, but all were old. Is it now solved and I just do not know how to get it working?
Any ideas?

Regards,
Alejandro Frasch

Great to hear!

We are working on an iOS/Android client.  This work is in progress, along with the work to create an HTML5 client.

You can see the designs for the HTML5 client here

These are the same UI designs for the iOS/Andorid client.  Your going to see a developer release of the HTML5 client coming soon.  The Android/iOS client will follow the release of the HTML5 client.

Yes, there was an iOS client created a few years ago by the good folks at Mconf, see

there is work underway to update the iOS/Android mobile client with the latest release of BigBlueButton, which is what you'll see later this year.

Regards,... Fred

Hi Alejandro,
In BBB 1.0 the HTML5 is very easy to setup, and works almost "out of the box".
In BBB 1.1-beta, we instructed our students to use Puffin Browser (https://www.puffinbrowser.com/) for iOS and Android, and even when there is a small degradation of the audio, generally they can follow up a lecture without troubles with this.
We are also waiting for the new HTML5, or Android and iOS clients, but in the meantime, Puffin Browser is doing the work.
Regards,
German

The HTML5 client won't help with iOS unfortunately because Apple still doesn't support WebRTC in Safari so an app is the only way to get access to the microphone.
