Yes, me too faced this error too. I had rechecked with all the ports including with 443 but didn't fixed it. Can any one sorted out on this " Error: Could not connect to the configured hostname/IP address"?

Hi,
well, the error pretty much describes the problem.
Somehow curl is not able to reach port 443 of your bbb server.
- Have you checked your firewall?
- Is port 443 open?
- Is your bbb server on a VM?
- Is there perhaps another firewall from your hosting provider (this is the case for AWS for example)?

Regards,
J.

Hi,
Thanks for reply.
Yes, bbb server is on VM and 443 port is open. Anyhow I finally fixed the issue, I have added local IP in /etc/hosts then restarted the services. Now working fine. Moreover, few Users are facing 1007 error remaining were able to connect audio. Here my query is why only few Users are facing with 1007 rest of the Users!

Hi,

  • NAT is blocking the connection
  • Firewall is blocking the UDP connection/ports
This might be on your end, but could also be on the user's end.
Most of these connection problems are solved by installing a stun/turn server. The most popular one is coturn. But if you have bbb 2.6 there's already a built in stun/turn server.

J.
