Hi,

I’m running some bbb servers behind a scalelite instance. For the frontend side of things there are some greenlight containers running on a different server as well as plugins for moodle etc.

Would it be possible to serve a different default presentation (or route to a different bigbluebutton-default location) depending on the requesting frontend? This way I could pool backend resources for a set of frontends while being able to maintain a certain level of customization.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Best: Jan.

Hi All,

since I haven’t been able to figure this out yet and the the need for server consolidation came up again I’d like to pose this question again:

I’d be very happy if somebody had an idea on how to do that.

Thanks & Best: Jan.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is possible, but it sound like a job for nginx. Perhaps if you play around with the /etc/nginx/bigbluebutton file you could achieve this.
And if you do, please share your results.

Regards,
J.

Hi Jean,

thanks for the idea, maybe there is something in the http headers that could be exploited for a switch. I’ll look into this.

Best: Jan.
