Hi,

I install bbb-0.8-RC1 successfully, but it use freeswitch.
I would like to mute voice when user join audio and mute user's micro by default. I could change parameters in asterisk but could not in freeswitch.
Please tell me where i could modify those parameters?

Thanks,

Hi there,

There isn't any option in a config file in BBB that when a new user joins to the voice conference and is muted by default...
The only thing possible is that the moderator clicks on "mute all" and then new users will be muted...

in the freeswitch dialplan, you can set a conference flag to mute
users joining by defualt, not sure if the ESL in listeners catches
this, you would have to test it, i believe it does though, let me
test it right now to see.

Stephen

<action application="conference" data="$1@wideband+flags{mute}"/>

I just tested, add the flags in public.xml and restart....
everyone comes in muted, and listeners room show it.

Im not sure if I follow you, but If you are referring to the voice announcements in freeswitch "you are now muted", you can in conference.conf.xml (under you conference) alter the promts played for different events.

If you call the conference from dialplan :  <action application="conference" data="$1@wideband+flags{mute}"/>
You make the changes to the wideband profile.

Yes, that's it. It has the adequate parameters for modifying sound.

Thanks so much,

 Alessandro, this mutes everyone by default including moderator, but they can unmute them selves.

<extension name="bbb_conferences">
      <condition field="destination_number" expression="^(\d{5})$">
          <action application="answer"/>
          <action application="conference" data="$1@wideband"/>
          <!-- <action application="conference" data="$1@wideband"/> -->
      </condition>
    </extension>

In public.xml       change this line <action application="conference" data="$1@wideband+flags{mute}"/>

regards,
Stephen
