It's been sitting there for about an hour counting dots. Doesn't fail
but doesn't start either. Any help would be very appreciated.

Hi,

Looks like ActiveMQ doesn't want to start. Did the IP address change
that ActiveMQ can't bind to the IP adress? Although, it should just
bind to 127.0.0.1 or localhost.

Hi,

No, the IP address has remained the same. It's 192.168.101.250 on my
local network.

Hello,

Can you run bbb-conf --setip 192.168.101.250   and the run bbb-conf --clean,  to see whether that will fix the problem

Regards

Hi,

I've tried what you suggested and this was the output.

# sudo bbb-conf --setip 192.168.101.250
Assigning 192.168.101.250 for testing for firewall in /var/www/
bigbluebutton/client/conf/config.xml

Assigning 192.168.101.250 for api demos in /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/

Restarting the bigbluebutton server ...
* Stopping Red5 Server

* Stopping Tomcat servlet engine

Openoffice headless server is not running.

Starting FreeSWITCH

* Starting Apache ActiveMQ service
activemq

start: ..................................................

It will seems as though it is getting hung up on the last line and
continues to make dots but does not time out or produce an error.

Thanks,

Greg

Whats the output of this:  sudo /etc/init.d/activemq status

Does it show something similar to this:   * Apache ActiveMQ service is running with pid 25960  (PID may be different)

If it does could you run sudo /etc/init.d/activemq stop

Then run sudo bbb-conf --clean   again

Regards

JL Tech,

ping the outside world ping 4.2.2.2, and another pc in your lan to
make sure you have a connection. every time i have moved a VM around
harddrives or copied, i needed to manually edit the eth0 interfaces
because the driver for the network card had a uniqie UID... been a
while since i ran into this, but i googled a solution last year.

Not sure if this is your issue.

regards,
Stephen
