Amazon AWS EC2 for BBB 2.0 -> GPUs required?

Hello,

Does anyone know if GPUs are required for BBB ?

And if required would 1 GPU be sufficient or more required?

No graphics processing units (GPUs) needed for BigBlueButton. If your choosing an virtual server, recommend choosing one that is setup for compute intensive operations.

As per the guidance received I have gone for c5-xlarge configuration on AWS EC2.

by the way Fred now I should just fresh install BBB 2.0 on it and simply transfer the recordings to this new VPS?

Are there any other steps to be followed?

Or is there any change in procedure to migrate entire BBB to new VPS?

We have documentation here on trasnferring over the recordings from one BigBlueButton server to another.

Yes followed that procedure and all recordings are moved to EC2.

Not sure why I had in my mind from previous experiences that I also had to copy SALT of existing BBB to new BBB in order to get the recordings working. But can't find them in docs so I'm ignoring SALT of existing VPS.
