Greenlight and error "SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG"

I installed bbb on the server and greenlight via docker but I get this type of error "SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG" can't fix anyone can help me?

Did you follow the steps at 


Is your BigBlueButton server working without issue?  Did you setup your own SSL certificate or use Let's Encrypt?

it works with certificate in fact if I type https://domini.ext I access the platform, if I do http://dominio.ext:5000 it leaves that error if I do http://ip:5000/b it works greenlight.

the certificate is an own certificate

Hi Notelseit,

Is this a self-signed certificate?  That would cause problems with Green Light as it wouldn't recognize the certificate (Green Light is running within a docker container and doesn't have access to the root CA store).

Is it an option for you to use bbb-install.sh to setup 2.2-beta on the server as it will use Let's Encrypt to create a valid SSL certificate for you.  See

i have try  wget -qO- https://ubuntu.bigbluebutton.org/bbb-install.sh | bash -s -- -v xenial-200 -s domain.ext  -e x...@domain.com  -t -g -p proxy.domain.xxx:8080

but I get the same result

Looking at the command

> -p proxy.domain.xxx:8080

it's not a HTTP proxy but for an apt-get proxy.  Try removing it and running the command again.  Let us know if it gives you any errors when run.

no help to solve this problem? I can't understand why only with the https port: //dominio.ext: 5000 / b does not work and from SSL error
