Shows Moderator/Attendee instead of user's name

Hi Guys,

Recently I configured the BigBlueButton server with bbb-lti to integrate it with my LMS.
Right now the BBB server is working fine with greenlight as well as I have successfully integrated it with my LMS, but the only issue is it is not showing actual user's name and showing Moderator/Attendee instead.

In the below screenshot you can see that user's email is being passed successfully to bbb but still it shows him as Attendee in the meeting.

Hi, I've seen this recently, it was not a problem with BBB but a configuration in the LMS. When you configure the LTI, you might configure something related to privacy, which tells the LMS what information you want to be provided to the LTI application. When I saw this behavior you described, it was configured as "Privacy: Private", when it should have been configured "Privacy: Public", so name and e-mail are passed to LTI.

If you can share what's the LMS you're using and how it's configured, it might be helpful.

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, you are correct that the issue is not with the BBB or bbb-lti but with the Open edX(LMS) I am using.
I am using Open edX for the external tool to integrate with the BBB server LTI, and found out that my LMS is not sending username in the proper variable to the bbb-lti.

Hi Felipe,
No unluckily I was not able to fix that issue, I think that can only be fixed by the core developers of the LMS.
