Hi Валера,

Two questions:

1. Does the server have a public and private IP address?
2. Is it behind a firewall?

For (2), see

Thanks for the quick response!

1. The server has an external static IP address
2. On the server has iptables (as I understand it is the firewall). No router, connects directly online

Hi

Try turning off iptables (temporarily) to see if it's preventing the WebRTC audio connection and let us know the results.

Hi Валера,

Can you try connecting with both Chrome and FireFox.

If your getting the same error, then it's a good bet you are connecting from behind a firewall to the internet and that firewall is restricting your access.

In other words, it's not the remote BigBlueButton server but your network path to the remote BigBlueButton server that is causing the 1002 error.

Hi,

It looks like you are configuring your server to use SSL, but you've only made some of the changes.

> # Warning: You have configured SSL, but FreeSWITCH is still listening# on port 5066. You should edit

To automate some of the configuration, try using bbb-install.sh with your hostname, see

We're not saying this will get working, but it may help get SSL configured.

This still won't solve your firewall issue as if your also getting a 1002 error when testing at https://demo.bigbluebutton.org/, then it's a good bet your computer is behind a firewall that is preventing the websocket connection from completing.
