updated to moodle 4.1 and all recordings lost

hello

i have updated my moodle to leatest 4.1 and all of recordings have disappeared and when we ran backup of moodle and went back to 3.10 with old plugin of bbb. recordings reappeared

what could be cause?

Anyone else facing this?

Hi Waqar,

I did some googling and there was a previous thread on this

Also, when you upgrade, BigBlueButton makes a local database of the recording status (instead of always fetching it from BigBlueButton) to speed up access to recordings.  On initial update, the creation of this database runs as a background cron job in Moodle.  Do you have cron jobs enabled?

"Note: For recordings to work properly, Cron Jobs must be enabled. Also, if you are using ScaleLite for load balancing your BigBlueButton servers, make sure you are running the latest release of ScaleLite."

Try the above and let us know if that gets your recording appearing.

Since the update to moodle 4.0 it is no longer possible to import links to recordings.

Is there a way to do this anyway?

Cron job is already enabled. Let me now upgrade my bbb to 2.5 and see if it works

cron job is running every minute.
moodle on 2.5 sable
while looking in cron log it shows
Scheduled task complete: Send report schedules (core_reportbuilder\task\send_schedules)
!!! Exception - Cannot instantiate abstract class mod_bigbluebuttonbn\task\send_notification !!!

only newly made recordings (post-update) appears

i think i would have to downgrade moodle. as plugin needs more work

Hi Waqar,

What version of the BigBlueButton plugin are you running -- the version that you had before upgrading from 3.10, or the built-in version in Moodle 4.1?

downgraded to old plugin on moodle 4.1 everything now works fine
how i did it?

renamed moodle plugin /moodle/mod/bigbluebuttonbn to  /moodle/mod/bigbluebuttonbn-old

from moodle admin it indicated that plugin is missing

now i opened OLD version of my plugin and opened version.php and changed it to latest 2023021300

and uploaded plugin
worked well.
