Hi Nana,

After the meeting is over, the presentation is no longer available to anyone.  There is a cron job that you can run that will automatically remove presentations older than 5 days (this is a configurable value).  See

This is the cron job that runs daily and comes with 0.81-beta, but you can also use it on 0.80.

Hi Nugroho,

> So after meeting over that means the older presentation no longer on server?

It is still on the server, but no longer accessible to users through BigBlueButton.  You can find the presentation in the directory

  /var/bigbluebutton/<presentation_id>

Look for it in

  /etc/cron.daily/bigbluebutton

If your running 0.80, you can either upgrade to 0.81-beta or replace your existing cron.daily file with the latest in GIT.

If you do it manually, you need to be sure that the meeting has actually finished *and* if it was set to be recorded, that BigBlueButton record and playback scripts have properly archived the meeting.

Unless you need to delete it sooner, recommend you set the value of history to 1 (one day) and use the cron job.

Hi,

A disconnect is usually network related.

If there is any network problems (even a momentary drop), the BigBlueButton will loose connection with the BigBlueButton server.  When that happens, the client immediately notifies the user of the disconnection.

In cases where the network itself is still in place, a user can click the refresh button on their browser and reload the BigBlueButton client.  In the case of a moderator, if there are others still in the session (i.e. it was their network that had a problem, not the network to the server), then their presentation will still be in place.  The can rejoin the audio, take over as presenter again, and continue the session.

Hi Fred,
For presentation it is ok, but what about recorded session, because we need to maintain lecture repository..

Thanks,
Madhu

Hi Madhu,

The cron script does not delete the recordings, just the temporary files associated with a session.  If you have set a meeting to be recorded, then, shortly after the meeting finishes, BigBlueButton collects all the files together into a subfolder in

  /var/bigbluebutton/recording/raw

At that point, you can later on delete the temporary files (using the cron script) without affecting recordings.
