BBB V3 - use of standard audio/video device rather than have a choice

Hi all,

we use a rather old BBB version (> 3 years old - 2.6?) but consider to migrate to BBB v3.

So for testing purpose we have installed a test BBB V3.0.9 system.

For one user we experienced strange behaviour when joing the session.

Audio finally worked but camera was a problem (message " browser to slow", offered camera was titled " camera 0", camera button was greyed).

It appears that in the old system standard audio/video (from Windows or Browser?) has been automatically selected by BBB without giving the user the choice which device to use (if you have more that 1 audio/video device).

Now the question is:

is it possible in BBB V3 to have a similar behaviour i.e. if user has only 1 micro, 1 speaker and 1 video (e.g. a laptop) skip the option to choose the device but rather select the "standard" device (Windows, Browser)?

Can this option be set only for a "normal" user i.e. presenter/speaker would be able to select a audio/video device from the list of avaialable devices whereas all other would use their standard device?

I scolled through the setting.yml file but could not find such an option.

Any hint would be appreciated!
