Hello Everyone,

I would first like to say that i love BigBlueButton! Not only the platform and software, but the support base around it. Fred himself as well as the community has helped me out more than you could understand.
I figured i'd help out a little as well.

This is for anyone who would like to incorporate BigBlueButton with an existing PHP website.

The zip file attached is a watered down version of the API we use for our website. When i say watered down, i mean extremely simplified. We use a MySQL database to manage our meetings, but most of our stuff i have already stripped out. It has been tested, it is currently in use, it works. I simplified it so that you guys can add your personal tweaks to it.

If you guys need any kind of support, feel free to ask!

=========================
Features
  1) Automatically creates meeting and join url with one parse.
  2) Checks to make sure server is online, before proceeding.
  3) Creates a new, randomized meeting every-time.
=========================

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for sharing this!  We know there are many others that use PHP.  Your simplified library will give them another good option for learning how to integrate with BigBlueButton.

Hi,

I have changed the SALT and URL but all I get is the sample code. Is that it? Or is there a full Client API in PHP that we can use readily. If so where can I get the full API?

Thank you,
Sushmita.

Hi Sashmita,

BigBlueButton does not come with a front-end interface.  Most people are already using and existing front-end, such as Moodle, Wordpress, Sakai, etc.  To integrate BigBlueButton with an existing front-end, see

If you are able to do some coding, you can modify the API examples to create a simple front-end.  See
