Hi Aliance,

> Detected the following WebRTC issue: Error 1002: Could not make a WebSocket connection. Do you want to try Flash instead?

If you are looking for help on how to resolve this error, first check the documentation

As the docs say, it's very likely a configuration issue on the server (did you upgrade to HTTPS) or you have a firewall that is preventing the websocket connection from your browser to the BigBlueButton server.

Hi,

I'm facing the same issues, I had finished to configure the setting in the doc and allow the firewall service port 7443 to my server. But I still unable to speak with through the microphone.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Patrick,

Can you do a quick test with your browser on

and let us know if you encounter any error -- this will rule out that your server setup is fine, but there is a firewall preventing your client from making the WebRTC connection.

Let us know the results of the above and we'll help you dig deeper.

Regards,... Fred

Hi Fred,

I have no error for the bigbluebutton demo. which mean is my firewall to block the WebRTC?

Hi Patrick,

> I have no error for the bigbluebutton demo. which mean is my firewall to block the WebRTC?

Yes, that is very likely the case.  Are you running a firewall on your server?  Some server hosting companies will put a firewall in place by default.  For example, when you start a server on Amazon, you need to explicitly open the ports required at

For next steps, see

Try the above steps and let us know if that gets you going.

Hi Patrick,

We just tried to connect to the server and our connection was tunnelling (unable to connect directly to port 1935).

Inline image 1

Are you getting the same results when you try to connect?  Is this a dedicated or virtual server?
Is it possible for you to (temporarily) disable the firewall and test again?

Regards,... Fred

Hi,

I see your using cloudflare and BigBlueButton is trying to access ports om cloudflare servers, the dns record should point to your host server directly and the public ip should be configured on your nic card

Hello Patrick,

cloudflare acts as reverse proxy, tecovc.teco.com.sg resolves to 104.31.79.179 which is cloudflare ip address, 116.12.223.57 is your router you have configured NAT to 192.168.1.69 according to cloudflare they support webrtc and forward websocket requests to the destination without any additional configurations https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200169466-Can-I-use-Cloudflare-with-WebSockets- . you will need to open port 7443 on your router and  forward NAT to 192.168.1.69 along with udp ports range 16384-32768 forwarded to NAT. make changes to BBB as per configure freeswitch for using ssl section on install doc and after this you would land up with webrtc error 1007 . let me know once you are there

Regards,
Srivishnu.K
