We have successfully implemented BBB on a local server (it's actually HP Prodesk G4) (8 cores CPU/ 16 GB RAM / 1 Tera HDD) for testing only...

but now we want to implement BBB on a dedicated hosting server

I was hoping you guys to recommend a company that serves mid-range university users with the recommended specs to run BBB smoothly without issues

I saw digitalocean.com site and I was considering it but I don't know if it is recommended to be implemented as a dedicated production site for BBB

any suggestions with decent specs would help a lot to make the right decision

Thanks

Hi Osama,

I did a quick google search for

  Recommend Server hosting BigBlueButton

and found this past thread

We do recommend a dedicated server for running BigBlueButton, but we know that others are running it on VPS hosts.

Regards,... Fred

Hi,

Here's a couple of Dedicated servers to look at :

something like the E3-SSD-1-32 Should be up for the task, they have 250Mb/s link and are on special offer :)

@ Fred, you know I don't work for them, but a good deal with a locked in price for ever, is a good deal :)

Regards,
Phill.
