I'm trying to connect to https://demo.bigbluebutton.org/ using the firefox browser on Fedora 25 . It says loading 0% forever and does not progress and an error message that says "Sorry We cannot connect to the server" .
On the BigBlueButton server which I setup, I only get the screen that remains at 0% but do not get any error message on the same screen, but if I look in the browser console I  see "Cannot connect to Red5 using RTMP and RTMPT . . ."   I do not  get any message in the browser console in the case of the demo server
Version of firefox is 51.0.1 64 bit, Flash version 24.0.0.221 . BigBlueButton 1.0
Connecting to demo server and the one setup works perfectly with chrome on the same Fedora 25 system.  What needs to be done so Firefox can connect ?

Hi Papa,

Just tried connection to https://demo.bigbluebutton.org/ using Chrome and it works.

Can you try using Chrome -- it has the latest version of Flash built-in.  Also, can you check your connectivity using the following page

This check page will run through some connectivity tests and let you know if it detects any issues.

Regards,... Fred

Hello Fred,

Thanks for the response. Chrome works perfectly but Firefox does not on the same computer. I did the test with Firefox using the connectivity test url and got the output below, is there a way to make it work with Firefox ?

Hi Papa,

It feel like a firewall issue as it's not connecting, but if Chrome can connect then you do have the network path to the demo server.  Can you try connecting again with Chrome and FireFox, but this time watch each of the browsers console (usually found under Developer Tools).  The browser console for FireFox is going to throw more errors, and it's the differences between the console output that might give a clue.

If you can spot some differences and not sure what they mean, then post them here in this thread and we'll take a closer look.

Regards,... Fred
